Want to start a Goji Berry farm?
I'm interested in meeting with people who would like to take an "impossible" farming challenge: Grow Goji berries, organically, on a small commercial scale, say, 500-1000 plants.
Dried, raw, organic goji berries sell for as much as $135/lb at Whole Foods.
Movie starts eat this stuff --- ask movie starts' (e.g. Janet Jackson) security people that you may know in Hollywood North, our own Vancouver.
Did you know that Goji berry production exists only in one contiguous area in China, and nowhere else? Although it has been known, and grown by Americans, one US journalist could not find a single American who has tasted a fresh (not dried) goji berry?
In other words, this Goji plant is going to be one helluva' difficult plant to grow.
Want to try it? I've got the rest of the puzzle.
Here I am, at the only Goji nursery in North America that had hundreds of Goji plants in stock, available to ship, in March 2009. No other commercial Goji farm had goji berry plants in quantity, in Canada or USA. An acre of goji bushes could fetch over $200K at dried goji berries, currently $60-$130/kg, at Whole Foods' prices. This farm is fenced, with barbed wire; no plant purchasers are allowed in, due to growing techniques that are rather special.
