Sugar tends to be quite shy and nervous. She is looking for a gentle and quiet home who has the time and patience to show her the world isn't a scary place. Once Sugar begins to warm up to people she is a very sweet girl. She enjoys laying on her bed and being pampered like a queen. Sugar is very inquisitive even though she is so shy. When she meets new people she wants to introduce herself to them but also tends to keep her distance because she is shy. Potential adopters will need to be ready to work on this, using lots of tasty treats and positive introductions to new people. Leash walks are still a little intimidating for her but everyday she makes great progress and gets a little braver. Loud noises and quick movements make Sugar very nervous, so we are looking for a quiet home with out any children in it. She has lived with other dogs in her previous home so would likely do well with another friendly canine.
