Opie - Terrier Dog

Shelter: BC SPCA - Shuswap Branch Animal ID: 525321 Birthdate: March 14, 2019 - Adult Spayed/Neutered: Yes Male This adorable face belongs to Opie one of the 119 dogs that came into our Shelters recently. Opie is a very gentle dog but also the shyest one of the group we have here. Trust is an issue that is going to take quite a while with this boy. It may be months before he can be cuddled. Opie needs an investment in time and patience to feel that he is finally home. However, he does really enjoy being outside in a fenced yard and will play with other dogs. Opie would probably benefit greatly from living with another relaxed pet. We have been working on his house training but that could also take a while so if you have expensive flooring or furniture this must be taken into consideration. At this point, Opie has not been leash trained although he is now fine wearing his spiffy collar. If you have a calm, quiet home and lots of time to bond with this sweet little guy you can drop us a line and we can discuss it. Opie will be available for Foster to Adopt or adoption.
