Position: Senior Project Manager Freeport Construction Management is a division of Freeport Industries that focuses on on-site assembly success. Freeport Industries designs and builds customized modular structures for residential, commercial, and industrial clients throughout Western Canada. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Project Manager will oversee the creation of the project scope, milestones, and deliverables, while ensuring resources are in place to meet the needs of assigned projects. The Senior Project Manager may have exposure to both traditional and modular building methods, either skill sets are desired.This position is based in West Kelowna, BC, with travel to project sites as required. The Job As a Senior Project Manager at Freeport Construction Management, you will be responsible for the following duties: * Manage multiple small projects concurrently and/or manage assigned large (multi-level, 2-6 story) projects. * Work closely with other key stakeholders to gather and transition required information to ensure each project is successful and delivered to Freeport’s safety and quality standards, as well as to client expectations. * Develop the project estimate (site & manufactured), schedule, coordinate contractors, ensuring all permits, Notice of Projects and required documentation are in place. * Act as the liaison with in-house design, consultants and authorities having jurisdiction. * Work with inhouse and subcontract field trades to ensure the project is completed on time and budget. * Execute project deliverables and monitor progress. Make scheduling adjustments and review the quality of the completed work on a regular basis, including site visits. * Exemplify safety and ensure our safety culture is maintained by assisting the team in meeting Freeport’s health and safety goals. * Ensure appropriate progress tracking mechanisms are in place for early identification of conflicts or issues and raise them immediately so action can be taken to rectify. * Other duties as assigned. The Ideal Candidate * 3-5 years of Project Management experience overseeing multi‐disciplined residential, commercial, or industrial project sites. * 3 -5 years of experience in contracts management and administration in a similar industry, i.e. Properties and building construction. * Experience in contract/subcontract coordination, administration and oversight including assembling and issuing RFQ/RFPs. * Strong understanding of construction contract law, including ability to read and interpret contracts and technical drawings. * PMP certification or being in the process of obtaining this certification. * Excellent interpersonal skills. * Strong communication skills both written and verbal. * Proven goal setting and problem-solving ability. * Background in modular construction, is an asset. * Valid BC driver’s licence is required. Compensation: The typical hiring range for this position is $75,000 – 110,000 per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
