For over 33 years Pacific Coast Community Resources has been empowering Individuals with diverse abilities to live the life they envision in the communities where they live, work and pursue recreational opportunities. We believe diversity makes our community stronger. Home Sharing offers an opportunity to provide support to an individual within your home, allowing them to share their unique abilities with you and your family while becoming more independent and inclusive in the larger community. This is a contracted position, and will require a current First-Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain), a valid driver's license, and a clear criminal record check. Pacific Coast Community Resources is seeking Home Share Provider in all areas where we provide services which include the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, Okanagan and the Kootenays. All applications are welcomed. Opportunities available to provide support to youth and adult individuals. You will have an opportunity to provide: o A supportive and safe environment o Meal preparation o Relationship building o Life Skills Training o Access to the community and other services o Medical support and other health care needs as necessary o Daily support to access the community and its amenities o Skills related to living independently Required Education, Skills and Qualifications: o Sincere desire to provide a stable, safe, comfortable and inclusive environment o Good communication and problem-solving skills with ability to complete detailed tracking and documentation o Flexible, adaptable, organized and accepting o Committed to support individuals with diverse abilities o Committed to the values and principles of inclusive community living o Current First-Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain) o Valid driver's license o Clear criminal record check Home Sharing arrangements are monitored regularly and ongoing training and support is provided.
