It’s thanks to our dedicated community that we’ve been able to raise crucial funds and awareness for prostate cancer support services in our community.

We invite you to join us once again for this year’s event on Sunday, September 7th , 2025. As we come together as a community to celebrate another year of making a difference, remember that at Island Prostate Centre, “What’s Raised Here Stays Here.” Every dollar raised directly supports our local community, ensuring that vital resources remain accessible to those patients (and their families) who need them most. Symphony in the Summer presents the National Youth Orchestra of Canada – August 1

91 of Canada’s most talented young musicians are coming to Victoria for a ONE NIGHT ONLY PERFORMANCE, presented by the Victoria Symphony!

Led by acclaimed Music Director Naomi Woo, this one-night only anniversary performance transforms Victoria’s Christ Church Cathedral into a space of sound, and transformation—experience a powerful program that doesn’t shy away from darkness—but insists on beauty, meaning, and hope. The evening opens with Across the Vaulted Night, a work commissioned by the SOCAN Foundation NYO Canada and composed by NYO Canada cello alum Nicholas Denton Protsack. Next, 2025 Michael Measures First Prize winner Justin Saulnier takes center stage in Prokofiev’s Violin Concerto No. 2—a work of shifting moods, flickering between solitude and spectacle, and concluding in a blaze of rhythm and colour. After intermission, Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 10 offers a searing portrait of survival under totalitarianism, where even silence carries weight.

One cathedral. One unforgettable summer night. The next generation of Canadian orchestral music starts here.
