Shelter: BC SPCA - Shuswap Branch Animal ID: 591788 Birthdate: July 07, 2020 - Adult Spayed/Neutered: No Female Meet Moosandra Stormborn of the House Dragon, First of Her Name, the Unscorched, Queen of the Sunbaskers, Lady of the Endless Sand, Vanquisher of the Salad, and Sovereign of the Scale-Clad! AKA Moo-Moo. If you can't tell by her name, Moo-Moo is not your average pet and she has some not so average needs, including: - Experienced Reptile Home - Metabolic Bone Disease - Continued Vet Care - Minimum 6'x2'x2' Enclosure - Lifespan ~10yrs Personality: This lovely girl has quite the personality and will make a wonderful companion for her devoted experienced adopter. She enjoys being handled and will happily sit on your shoulder beneath a sweater in the mornings and on your shoulder in the evenings to watch a movie! Metabolic Bone Disease: Since coming into our care, she has been diagnosed with metabolic bone disease and she can be a little clumsy because of it. But that doesn't slow her down! Please research and familiarize yourself with MBD. Feeding: Sweet Moo Moo on a special feeding schedule with rotating supplements, greens, and gut loaded insects, which which she will need to follow for the rest of her life to keep her healthy and happy! Moo Moo's diet consists of arugula, spring mix, kale and bok choy as staple foods, while various vegetables such as spinach, zucchini, bell pepper, carrot, and squash rotated in. Fruits such as banana, apple, and berries are safe for bearded dragons as rare treats. All of Moo Moo's food is dusted with rotating supplements. She will require follow up vet appointments to ensure she is on the right track. Enclosure Requirements: - 6'x2'x2' reptile enclosure or larger for temperature gradient areas - Min. 2 dome heat lamps with 90-100W halogen flood bulbs for basking - UVB bulb and light fixture - Thermometer and Hygrometer (humidity) - Timer for lights - Substrate - Large hideout/cave and environmental enrichment (logs, plants, rocks, etc) - Large slate tile or flat rock(s) for basking - Food dishes and shallow pool for water - Calcium, calcium +D3, and reptile multivitamin powder supplement - Soft-tipped feeding tweezers Please research Bearded Dragon husbandry prior to applying!
