Meemo - German Shepherd Dog

Shelter: BC SPCA - Shuswap Branch Animal ID: 510640 Birthdate: May 17, 2010 - Senior Spayed/Neutered: No Female If affection had fur and four paws it would answer to Meemo. She is such a gentle kind dog who just wants someone to be with her and rub her tummy. Meemo is part Husky but has few of the traits associated with the breed other than she will softly howl when she is lonely. When she was much younger, Meemo broke one of her front legs and due to it being left untreated it is now not as functional as it should be. However, she has adapted very well, although Meemo will never be the athletic dog she may have been. A more quiet life is what she needs. Since her front leg does not touch ground she is not a dog that can go for long walks but she is always up for a cuddle. Meemo led quite a sheltered life before so she is understandably cautious in new situations. As a result, we are looking for a quiet easygoing home for her. Also being a senior, children would be too much for her. When she arrived, Meemo was in heat so we do not have a read on how she is with other dogs, she would have to do a meet and greet first. Another quiet unassuming dog to hang out with may be okay. Meemo is being spayed on June2/20 and will be able to go to he new home shortly after the surgery day.
