Nuka was very under-socialized; she still has trouble trusting people even with months of behavioural modification. She recently went into a foster home where she showed incredible improvement. Nuka needs to go into a home with another dog as well as a fully fenced yard, with the option to slowly transition to indoor living. She thrives around other dogs and feels less stressed being around them. Breed experience would be an asset. Nuka still needs to learn her basic commands, as well as learning that walks are not as scary as she thinks. Her foster mom has known her for over 3 months now and only in the past month Nuka finally started accepting pets. She now comes up to her foster mom asking for pets, but is still unsure about the other people in the household. Nuka needs a home where someone can spend lots of time with her to be able to build that trust with her. Once she trusts you she's the most gentle, loving, and unique dog. She will always follow you around, ask you for belly rubs, and soak up the sunshine with you. She is finally ready to find her forever home!
