Skilled Construction Labourer (Vernon, Armstrong, Princeton)

Skilled Construction Labourer In the position of Construction Labourer, we would ask you to do the following: Handle and distribute construction materials (e.g., load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment and construction materials move tools equipment and construction materials to and from work areas; remove rubble and other debris) Assemble and dismantle scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades at construction sites Prepare and clean up construction sites, move materials and equipment, and perform demolition, excavation and compaction activities Work on a wide variety of buildings, structures and premises including municipal sewer and water mains, roads, dams and bridges, tunnels, railways and canals. Here are a few of the attributes and experience you need to be successful in this position: • You have one to two years of industrial or civil construction experience. • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS 09) Certificate, WHMIS 2015, and ground disturbance. (All not required but considered an asset, training provided if necessary) • You have experience in using compactors, and trampers (jumping jack) and other various tools (rakes and shovels) • Spotting Equipment and some traffic control. • Able to lift up to 50 lbs. You have a safety conscious attitude and able to work with others in a team. • Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test. • Valid driver's license (class 5) and a reliable vehicle - Driver's Abstract is required. • Showing up on-time and ready to work. • Able to follow basic instructions.
