Grademan/woman (Vernon, Armstrong, Princeton)

Grademan/woman Responsible for the safe and efficient shooting of grades for civil construction pipe activities. Experience Required: • Experience as a Grademan or Surveyor. • Work with the Foreman and the Crew to establish daily layouts and setups. • Set elevations and grades for roads, underground utilities and other needs. • Read drawings and check for completeness or errors. • Achieve the correct grade by directing Equipment Operators to adjust grade by moving earth gravel and other material. • Proficient use and maintenance of different types of levels and survey equipment, including proper storage of equipment at end of day. • Maintain complete field notes and analyze results. Prepare reports as needed. • Work safely in a construction site and promote a safe work environment adhering to Company and industry safety policies and procedures including participation in safety meetings. • Ability to work as a team with other Crew on daily activities of the site. Key notes: • Must have at least 2 years of working experience as a Grademan for various sewer and water projects required. • Must be able to read and understand drawings and have a strong understanding of reading grade. • Must understanding surveying and be able to do elevation shots. • CSTS-09 or 2020, WHMIS 2015, Ground disturbance 201 (not required but considered an asset, will provide training if necessary). • Valid drivers license and reliable vehicle - Drivers abstract required. • Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol test.
